More info

You have been appointed prior of an ancient monastery and its brewery. Now is your time to brew the best beer under God's blue sky! The fine art of brewing requires great skill. In order to get the best results, you will need to cultivate your cloister garden with the most fertile ingredients and allocate your monks at the best harvest time. You shouldn't neglect your brewmaster either: you'll need to upgrade all of your brew types and your master's experience to ensure the best possible brew.

In Heaven & Ale (Heaven and Beer) you will have to face the arduous task of brewing against your rivals from other monasteries. You must maintain a delicate balance between the improvement and planting of your cloister garden and the time of harvest to fill your barrels with the best possible beer. Only those capable of optimizing the entire process by acting at the right time will be blessed with victory. Heaven & Ale is a perfectly balanced game for 2, 3 or 4 players, since depending on the number the game takes place over 3, 4 or 6 rounds. With very simple rules but great strategic depth, on each turn the player will simply have to move his prior at least one space and perform the action of the square where he ends up. These boxes can be: Resource spaces: where you can buy resources with different fertility numbers and you can add them to your garden to cultivate them. Monk Slots: where you can buy Monks that will help you activate resource tokens and will upgrade your Brewmaster on the production track Action Disc Slots: that will allow the player to pick up a disc and activate scoring slots on their board. Given such a simple premise of rules, we nevertheless find a game where it is vital to measure each movement. By buying resource tokens (there are 5 different types), the player will be able to buy them and place them in his garden. On the sunny side, the purchase cost is double the fertility value, while on the shadow side the cost is as indicated on the token. Placing it on one side or the other is of vital importance because when harvesting those tokens, those on the dark side generate coins, while those on the sunny side advance the production marker of that resource as many spaces as its fertility number. . If you manage to completely surround one of the 6 sheds on your board, you will trigger additional actions that allow you to activate more tokens. On the other hand, the monks will be in charge of activating tokens adjacent to them, allowing you to increase the number of times you can activate each resource token. What makes Heaven and Ale a truly strategic game is when players decide to activate their resource and monk tokens, as discs are limited (only 6 per round) and not all discs allow the scoring action to be activated. best suits us at a given time. Therefore, players will have to carefully time when they buy chips (and what type of chips they buy) as well as when they activate each scoring slot (which can only be activated once per game). It's vitally important that you upgrade both your brewmaster and all of your resources, as at the end of the game you'll only score the lowest resource on your production track. Players can also earn victory points by completing objectives throughout the game.
