Marrakesh (Spanish)

Stefan Feld's Marrakesh was one of the 2022 Essen novelties that Queen Games released in a big box format in an edition they called Marrakesh Classic.

Devir will publish a new version this year called Marrakesh Essential. A square box retail version with some production changes that don't alter the gameplay experience and reduce production costs.

Compete with other influential families in the city for the most honorable titles by skillfully using the helpers and resources at your disposal. The player who achieves it best will become the new "Obermufti" of Marrakech.

Marrakech is played over three rounds, each consisting of four turns.

     On each turn, players simultaneously and secretly choose three colored cylinders from behind their screen.
     Next, in turn order, they place matching colored helpers on their player board (these will be the actions they take later), and then all the cylinders are placed on the tower of cubes.
     The cube tower randomizes the cylinders available in this round, leaving some stuck and others coming out from previous rounds.
     In turn order, players choose a color and take 1-2 of the cylinders that have gone through the tower (or those that were stuck from a previous round but have now come out) and place them on their player boards. These cylinders will power future actions that are performed with the same color in subsequent rounds.
     Then, in turn order, players will activate the regions where they have placed a helper.

Actions allow players to earn wealth, which can be exchanged for influence in the city.

Performing various actions also earns you bonuses and further empowers actions as the game progresses.

The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
